We are all using google@cps. Don't lose your login or password. This will be your access until you leave the CPS system. Remember the label you got to log into to the laptops? That is your google account: user name plus the @cps.edu part. Send me an email to show that you've used it. I will be using that to respond to you.
The Algebra Results are in...89% Passed!
Congratulations! 7 High Pass and 18 Pass and if you count our last year student, then we have 90% pass!!!!!! Congrats again. Send me an email if your high school does not program you in the right course. We will fight...not literally, of course...maybe a quick phone call.
High school applications: When we know more, we'll send home the info. Fill out many, many applications. Ask questions. Remember the high school calculator is only a guide. You need to aim for the school you want. Get a good night's rest before the entrance tests and go to all of the interviews! Acceptances are sent in late February. If you are going to any type of testing, please notify me at least a day in advance. If you have any questions, call the high schools themselves. I need the acceptance letters in order to change our records. If you are waiting for the second round invitations, be careful...there might not be a seat for you. Rumor is that there may be one application for all the schools....rumor until we hear more.
Make sure you check the Pearson Literature site...you have assignments to do at your own pace. Don't let them pile up. Login names and passwords have been updated. Send me an email if you have forgotten. Compass Learning is also up and running. These assignments were based on your score on the NWEA.
Check the Events section for posted homework. If I forgot anything, add it to the list. Anything that is not due immediately or the next day is also posted on the calendar. Too many people are asking the same questions. Look ahead. Don't forget that you must log in in order to add or view the homework.
Parent Portal is up for those who haven't lost their passwords. If the account is expired, register again. Don't know how to get in? Go to the Links and find Healy School. There's a link to the portal. If you've lost the password, you will need to contact the school. I don't have a list of passwords. Don't wait until progress reports or report cards to surprise your parents.
"A Song of Healy"
A song of Healy and this school so true,
Comes wafted to my ears and thrills me thro’ and thro’.
Her boys and girls so good in ev’rything
will answer back by rising to sing.
Hail, old Healy, rah! rah! rah!
A dear old school thou art,
So loyal, brave and true.
Thy spirit guarding o’er us,
as we journey on,
we’ll wear the green and white and yell for Healy School.
AAAhhhh!! I forgot...have we been saving our boxtops?
Room 214 has been accepted all over the city.

Don't forget to check the CPS Parent Portal for up-to-date grades. Don't forget the account has a 30 day shelf-life. That means you need to log on at least once every 30 days, or you will need to reregister. This means during the summer too. Your account is the same until you graduate from high school.
